Program description
InviteBird, operated by SKYPOP DESIGNS ("InviteBird," "we," "us"), sends optional SMS messages on behalf of event hosts to guests whose phone numbers the host has personally collected for event communication. A guest is not enrolled in event SMS until the guest replies YES to InviteBird's confirmation text.
We do not send marketing or promotional content through this program. The toll-free number used for this program is +1 (866) 786-4090.
Message types
- Event invitation with a link to the RSVP page.
- One-time opt-in confirmation asking you to reply YES to enroll.
- RSVP reminder for guests who have not yet responded.
- Host-to-guest update — venue change, schedule change, or a quiet reminder.
- RSVP confirmation after a guest responds, and a thank-you note the host may send after the event.
- Individual service texts someone specifically requests on screen — for example a phone-verification code, or a gift card its buyer chose to deliver by text.
Message frequency
Typically one to five messages per event per guest. Volume depends on the host’s reminder cadence and how many updates they choose to send. We also hold non-urgent event texts to daytime quiet hours based on the recipient’s local time, so reminders do not arrive in the middle of the night.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers may charge for incoming and outgoing messages, depending on the recipient’s plan. InviteBird does not charge guests for SMS.
Help & opt-out
Reply HELP to any message for support, or email info@invitebird.com.
Reply STOP at any time to immediately opt out of all future SMS from InviteBird. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you’ve been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How opt-in is collected
SMS opt-in is collected directly from the recipient through Reply-YES confirmation. When a host adds your phone number for optional event texts, you receive a single confirmation text from InviteBird describing the program and asking you to reply YES. Replying YES is your consent to receive event-related SMS from InviteBird for that event. You will receive no further event SMS unless and until you reply YES. Replying STOP at any time immediately and permanently opts you out.
Hosts also independently attest, via a dedicated checkbox at send time, that each phone number was provided by the guest themselves. This attestation is in addition to — not in place of — the recipient Reply-YES enrollment.
Consenting to SMS is never a requirement for using InviteBird. Guests can RSVP through the web link without receiving SMS, and hosts can choose to send invitations by email or share the RSVP link outside InviteBird.
Accepting our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy does not constitute SMS opt-in. SMS consent is a standalone YES reply collected at the moment of the host's first message attempt.

Privacy & data sharing
Phone numbers and SMS opt-in records are never shared, sold, or used for third-party marketing. We use Twilio and Brevo as our SMS delivery providers; they process messages on our behalf under their own privacy obligations and may not use the information for any other purpose.
