About this design
A hand-painted sailboat rides a swell of watercolour in the lower corner of this baby shower invitation, its sails split between sand beige and dusty slate blue, a small life ring at the bow and a muted gold anchor painted onto the hull. A tiny origami paper boat answers it from the opposite corner, riding its own pale ripple. Between them the paper stays open and generous, washed only at the edges in soft blue and gold, so the lettering has room to breathe. The honouree name is set in flowing gold calligraphy with long horizontal swashes and a heart dotting the i, and the occasion beneath it in a wide-spaced serif in slate blue. It suits a baby shower for a family drawn to soft, quiet colour rather than bright primaries, and it works just as naturally for a welcome-baby brunch, a sprinkle for a second little one, or a gender-neutral shower where blue reads as calm water rather than as a colour code. The watercolour treatment keeps it gentle enough for grandparents and modern enough for a first-time parent. Sending it as a digital baby shower invitation brings the whole desk with it: guests reply yes, no or maybe from their phones and you watch responses land in real time, with plus-ones and meal choices tracked for you and reminders going out on their own so you are not chasing anyone. A shared photo album collects pictures from the day, and a matching thank-you note is ready when the shower is over. One practical thing worth doing early: showers run on games and gifts, so set your reply-by date a clear two weeks ahead of the day. That gives you the final headcount in time to buy prizes, portion the food, and tell the host how many chairs the room actually needs.
