About this design
A hand-painted flamingo stands in still water at the lower right of this baby shower invitation, her wing feathers washed in pale lilac where the pink runs out. Sage monstera and palm fronds frame the opposite corner, translucent enough that the paper reads through the veins. The lettering carries the same softness: the honoree's name is set in flowing calligraphy over a high-contrast serif headline, with the particulars stacked quietly beneath in a warm transitional face. The palette stays in one register throughout — blush, pale lilac and a muted sage on bright matte white — so nothing on the page raises its voice.
The guest page extends the card into a pressed-botanical keepsake. The invitation is mounted on a vellum album leaf with real photo corners and a deckle edge, and that same object is restated as you scroll: the event particulars arrive as pinned specimen labels, the countdown becomes four tipped-in day cards, and the reply lives on its own card tucked into a sleeve under a pressed wax seal. It suits a first baby shower, a sprinkle for a second, a gender-neutral celebration where the palette does the work instead of pink-or-blue, and a co-hosted afternoon where two families want one calm, pretty page to point everyone at.
Sending it includes RSVP tracking with yes, no and maybe replies, plus-one and meal collection, automatic reminders as the date approaches, a shared photo album guests can add to afterwards, the baby shower Essentials suite — advice cards, a books-for-baby bookplate, a guest sign-in sheet, a welcome sign and a wishes page — and a matching thank-you flat when it is over. One practical tip: set the reply-by date a full ten days before the shower rather than the customary week. Baby shower catering and favour counts are usually locked earlier than a dinner party's, and the extra days spare the host a round of chasing.
