About this design
This watercolor steam-train birthday invitation carries a full station-departure landing page in the card's own sage-green and golden-ochre palette. The honoree's name is set in flowing calligraphy above the card, which sits in a vintage vellum mat with gold hairline rules, washi tapes, a drawn steam plume over one corner and a gold lantern below the other. The milestone age turns inside a locomotive wheel badge — a sage medallion with spokes that draw themselves in and a masked gold light sweep circling the rim. Below, the journey details read like a printed timetable: a wave-dial for the date, a station clock for the time, a little engine for the venue, a stamped reply card for the RSVP date, a bowler for the dress code and a P-plate on a signal post for parking. The countdown is styled as a departure board with dark green flip cells, cream digits and gold labels, ticked by a live countdown to the party. The reply block is the page's climax — a cream watercolor panel with a hand-drawn steam engine whose smoke puffs drift, a gold wheel seal and a sage RSVP button. The demo event is set at Travel Town Museum in Los Angeles, a real train museum with rides, which is perfect for a three-year-old's first train party; every name, date and venue in the template can be changed in seconds. The design fits toddlers and young kids who love trains, locomotives and all-aboard adventures, and works equally well for a station-themed celebration at home. Guests can reply, open the venue in maps and add the date to their calendar straight from the page. A useful hosting tip: give each guest a conductor's hat and let the countdown board announce when it is time to board.
