About this design
This watercolor birthday invitation opens with the card's own whisper — a little birdie told me you're three — above a baby rhino with a cheerful yellow bird perched on its nose. The palette is clean white paper, charcoal grey ink, muted lavender and butter yellow with sage accents, so it feels like a page from a gentle picture book rather than a loud jungle theme. The guest page is styled as soft safari field notes: the honoree's name is set in sweeping Pinyon Script calligraphy with a Playfair Display serif for the milestone numeral, echoing the lettering printed on the card. The invitation sits in a botanical-press frame with corner perforations, followed by a lavender tear-line seam, frosted-glass panels with hairline corner marks, and a ghost word behind the details. The countdown is a joined safari-log strip with dashed cell seams that tick-pulse as each digit changes. A drawn birdie seal with a slow golden glow closes the page on the lavender RSVP panel, and drifting leaves, paint splatters and soft watercolor blobs keep the atmosphere alive without ever touching the text. Everything is mobile-first — staggered one-shot entrances, a foil pass over the pill, and full reduced-motion support. Ideal for a third birthday, a safari or zoo theme, or any party for a little animal lover; dates, venue and RSVP details hydrate from the host's own event.
