About this design
A wide-eyed fox cub leans against a wooden block with a number routed into its face, gold bevels catching the light, and that one small object carries the whole design. Around it sit scattered gold stars, a soft grey watercolor cloud, a red-capped toadstool and a scatter of daisies and wildflowers, all painted on matte white paper. The honoree's name runs beneath in deep burgundy calligraphy with a long horizontal flourish that finishes in a tiny heart, and the details below it are set in spaced serif capitals. It is a nursery palette rather than a party palette: burgundy, warm fox orange, soft gold and wood brown, with plenty of white space left to breathe.
This one is made for the small end of the age range. It fits a third birthday, a second, or a first, and it suits the kind of afternoon where the guest list is mostly grandparents, cousins and two friends from daycare. It works for a woodland or forest-animal theme, a storybook or nursery theme, and it sits naturally on a park picnic, a backyard blanket or a garden playdate. Parents searching for a watercolor woodland birthday invitation, or a toddler birthday invitation with RSVP built in, land here.
Sending it online does the organizing for you. Guests reply from their phone, plus-ones and children are counted, and reminders go out on their own so you are not texting people the week before. You get a live headcount, a place for guests to leave a note, and a matching thank-you card for afterwards. The suite also carries printable party pieces cut from the same artwork: a welcome sign, a photo-booth sign, a hashtag card, a fox coloring sheet, a picture bingo grid and a scavenger hunt, which between them cover the awkward first twenty minutes and the stretch after cake.
One practical note for this age group. Three-year-olds peak early, so put the loudest activity first and the cake about forty minutes in, and tell guests the real end time on the invitation. Two hours is plenty, and the coloring sheet is what you hand out when the energy drops.
