The Photos section of your event is mission control for the album: approve what guests send, tidy and reorder the wall, keep an eye on your photo room, and download the whole collection. Co-hosts can help with all of it — reviewing photos is event management, not an owner-only job.
Approving guest photos
Guest photos land in Guest uploads to review, marked with how many are waiting. For each photo you can tap approve or reject right on its card; for a big batch, tick photos (or Select all) and use the bulk Approve / Reject buttons. Approved photos appear in the album instantly. Reject removes a photo for good — you're asked to confirm first, and it can't be brought back (a guest can always send it again). If you're not sure about a photo yet, just leave it in the queue.
You'll also get a notification whenever a guest adds photos, so review can happen from your phone during the party. When the queue is empty the step reads All caught up.
Editing and arranging the album
Your approved photos live in the Your photos step, where hovering (or tapping) a photo reveals its tools:
- Open the full-size image in a new tab.
- Rotate or crop it in the built-in editor — handy for sideways phone shots. The edited photo is saved as a fresh copy, so guests never see the old version.
- Move left / right to reorder the wall. By default photos show newest first; the moment you rearrange, your order is saved and kept.
- Remove a photo (with a confirmation) — it comes off the album entirely.
Add your own photos anytime with Add your photos; host uploads skip the approval queue since you're the one curating.
Your photo room
Every paid event includes room for 100 approved photos; the header shows a live used / left count. Photos waiting for review don't count — only what you approve.
As the album fills past 80%, a "Your album is filling fast" banner appears with a one-tap upgrade: room for 500 photos, $25 one time. At the limit the banner reads "Your album is full" and new approvals wait until you either free room or take the upgrade. The bar shows in both the Photos steps and the review queue, so you'll see it while you approve. If you upload more of your own photos than fit, the ones that fit are added and you're told how many went in. If you're a co-host, the bar says "Ask the event owner to upgrade" instead of showing a buy button — buying is the owner's job. The 500-photo pack also changes your album's later renewal price — see Album hosting and renewal.
Downloading everything
Download all (in the Your photos step, and as Download all photos in the Printables hub's Gallery section) bundles every approved photo — yours and your guests' — into a single ZIP at full quality, named and numbered. Use it to:
- keep a permanent copy on your own storage,
- hand the collection to whoever's making the photo book,
- save everything before an album's hosting window closes.
The download includes approved photos only; anything still waiting stays out of the bundle. If there are no approved photos yet, you'll get a note saying so instead of an empty ZIP. It keeps working even when the album is switched off.
Album settings worth knowing
Under Album settings you can flip guest uploads on or off, change who can see the album and who can add to it (see Photo privacy), and Turn off the photo album entirely — your photos stay saved, the album just stops showing. While it's off, guests can't see it or add to it, but you can still look through your photos, review and approve or reject what's waiting, and Download all; an Album is off note has a Turn the album back on link. (Rotating, reordering, removing, and adding photos wait until it's back on.)
Common questions
Can my co-host approve photos? Yes. Owners and co-hosts can both review, approve, and reject guest uploads.
What happens to rejected photos? Reject removes the photo for good — it's gone from the queue and its files are deleted, so there's no undo. If you change your mind, the guest can send it again.
Does deleting a photo free up room? Yes — your limit counts approved photos currently in the album, so removing one makes room for another.
Are guest photos included in the ZIP download? Yes — every approved photo, whether you or a guest added it, at the original uploaded quality.
I hit the 100-photo limit — what are my options? Remove photos you don't need, or take the one-time $25 upgrade to 500. The banner in your Photos section does it in one tap, and it applies to this event's album.
Can I caption photos? Yes — you and your guests can both attach a note when uploading, and it shows as the photo's caption.
