Every InviteBird event can have a shared photo album — a beautiful photo wall where your pictures and your guests' pictures live together after the party. It's included with every paid event: room for 100 photos, hosted free for a year from the day you send, with guests able to add theirs without creating an account. The first setup question tells you the price and timeline up front, so there are no surprises.

Set it up in three questions

Open the Photos section of your event and the setup walks you through three quick steps:

  1. "Want a shared photo album?" — Yes turns it on; No thanks tucks it away (you can come back anytime).
  2. "Can guests add photos too?" — Pick one: Yes — any guest with the link (guests scan a QR code at the party and upload, no account needed — the easiest choice), Yes — invited guests only (guests sign in with the email they RSVP'd with first), or No — just me and my co-hosts. Either way, guest photos wait for your approval — nothing appears until you say yes.
  3. "Who can see the album?" — Only our guests keeps it to you, your co-hosts, and the guests who RSVP'd, who sign in with the email they replied with; Anyone with the link opens it up for easy sharing. You can switch this anytime.

Once you've answered, the full album manager appears. Every choice you made lives on under Album settings, so nothing is locked in.

What's included

  • Room for 100 photos on every paid event, with a one-time upgrade to 500 for $25 if the party outgrows it.
  • A full year of hosting from the day you send your invitations, with simple renewal after that ($9.99 a year, or $25 a year once you have the 500-photo pack, and you get 90 days to download everything first) — see Album hosting and renewal.
  • Guest uploads with no login — the grandma-friendly default. See Guest photo uploads.
  • Host approval on every guest photo, so you always control what's shown.

Adding your own photos

In the Your photos step, use Add your photos to upload from your device. Your own uploads go straight into the album — no approval step for the host — and count toward your photo room. From the same step you can rotate or crop a photo, reorder the wall, remove anything, or Download all as a ZIP. Details in Managing and downloading photos.

What guests see

The album lives at its own link, styled to match your event, with the event name, date, and location up top. Photos appear newest first with any caption and the sharer's name, and guests can tap a photo to view it large. Like counts from the day-of photo wall show there too. A Preview album page button in your album manager opens exactly what guests will see.

Guests find the album from your event page and from the thank-you page after the event. If you haven't opened an album for the event, the album page says so plainly instead of leaving guests guessing. If you set it to Only our guests, guests sign in with the email they RSVP'd with — see Photo privacy.

The flow of a great album

  1. Turn the album on while you're building the event — the setup takes under a minute.
  2. Print the QR sign for the tables so guests upload as the party happens — see The photo upload QR sign.
  3. Approve the arrivals during or after the event — approving is one tap each, or bulk.
  4. Share the album link in your thank-you message, and download everything as a keepsake.

Common questions

How much does the album cost? It's included with every paid event — 100 photos hosted for a year at no extra charge. More room (500 photos, $25 one time) and extra hosting years ($9.99 a year, or $25 a year with the 500-photo pack) are optional add-ons, and only the event owner can buy them.

Do guests need the app or an account to see or add photos? No. The album and the upload page are plain web pages. With the default settings, adding photos needs no sign-in at all; viewing needs a sign-in only if you set the album to Only our guests.

Can I have an album without guest uploads? Yes — answer No — just me and my co-hosts during setup. You can let guests add photos later in Album settings.

When do photos appear on the event page? As soon as they're approved. Your own uploads appear immediately; guest photos appear once you approve them.

Can I turn the album off? Yes, in Album settings — Turn off the photo album. Your photos stay saved and you can still look through, review, and download them; guests just can't see or add to the album until you turn it back on.

What if we take more than 100 photos? You'll see a heads-up as the album fills. One tap upgrades to room for 500 ($25, one time). See Managing and downloading photos.
