About this design
This birthday invitation is built from triangles. A stylised unicorn head fills the right side of the card in low-poly facets — blush and rose through the mane, then butter yellow, mint, sky blue and lilac cascading down the neck — each plane a flat colour with a hairline seam where it meets the next. The horn is the one metallic note on the card, a faceted gold spiral drawn in the same geometry as everything else. A string of small triangular paper bunting hangs across the top-left corner in orange, mint, butter and lilac. The typography answers the artwork rather than decorating it: the honoree's name is set large and lowercase in a rounded geometric sans in soft mint, the birthday line sits beneath it in clean bold capitals in warm orange, and the practical lines are set small and widely tracked in charcoal grey. Everything sits on stark matte white with generous negative space, so the illustration never has to compete with a texture or a wash. It suits a child's birthday party where the household wants something bright and modern rather than sugary, and it reads just as well for a first birthday as for a tenth — nothing on the card is tied to a particular age. Because the whole palette is drawn from the mane, it coordinates easily with rainbow balloons, pastel tableware and a plain white or kraft-paper backdrop. Sending it through InviteBird includes online RSVP tracking with yes, no and maybe replies, a guest list you can edit as replies land, automatic reminders before the date, a live countdown on the guest page, dress-code and parking notes for the grown-ups doing the drop-off, and a shared photo album afterwards plus a matching thank-you card. One practical tip for a party this young: put the pickup time on the invitation as well as the start time. Parents of four- and five-year-olds plan their afternoon around the end of the party, and a clear finish time gets you more confirmed yeses than a longer guest list ever will.
