About this design
This design works in two materials only: matte black paper and antique bronze. The ground is a deep espresso black with a fine paper tooth, and everything placed on it is metal — a large satin bow gathered in the upper right, its ribbon trailing down the edge in a slow curl, rendered with real fabric weave and specular highlights rather than flat colour. The milestone numerals sit dead centre as the dominant mark on the card: oversized beveled serif figures with a fine grain across the face and a genuine cut edge catching light along every stroke. Above them, a flowing script carries the honoree's name in the same bronze, drop-shadowed just enough to lift it off the black. Beneath, spaced engraved capitals hold the occasion line, and thin vertical bronze pipes separate the day, date and time into a single measured row. Four-pointed metallic stars scatter across the upper third for a little celebratory glint. The palette runs antique bronze and muted copper against champagne-gold highlights, which reads as rich and sophisticated rather than bright, and the contrast against near-black keeps every line legible on a phone. It suits milestone birthdays, retirement dinners, anniversary evenings and any black-tie occasion. The matching guest page treats the card as an engraver's struck plate: the invitation is mounted behind a double bronze rule with four struck rivets and an engraved caption bar, the milestone numerals are struck into a medallion whose rings and eight radiating marks draw themselves once, and the countdown arrives as four separate struck plates. Detail rows carry their own commissioned line icons drawn at a single stroke weight, section breaks are engraver's rules with a solid lozenge, and the reply closes on a struck bronze token.
