About this design
A small blue whale spouts a curl of water beneath two drifting clouds, painted in loose watercolor washes that let the white paper show through at every edge. The honoree's name is set in a flowing hand-lettered script in dusty blue, answered underneath by a wide-tracked serif in warm taupe, and the whole composition sits on a soft matte ground with nothing crowding it. A pale blush touch on the whale's cheek is the only warm note in an otherwise cool palette, and the gentle wave line beneath the illustration is drawn rather than printed, so the card reads as something painted by hand and kept.
The design suits a baby shower for a first child, a sprinkle for a second, a welcome-baby brunch, or a gender-neutral celebration where the family would rather not commit to pink or blue. It carries an afternoon gathering as comfortably as an evening one, and reads well for both a quiet family circle and a wider guest list.
Sending it as a digital invitation includes RSVP tracking with yes, no and maybe replies, meal and dietary collection, automatic reminders as the date approaches, a shared photo album guests can add to afterward, the full Baby Shower Essentials suite, and a matching thank-you card to send once the day is over.
One practical note for a shower: ask for RSVPs about two weeks ahead rather than one. Games, favors and food for a shower are all counted per guest, and a fortnight of lead time is usually the difference between ordering once and ordering twice.
