About this design
A little hippo in a sea of bubbles anchors this first-birthday invitation: soft watercolor washes in sky blue and steel navy frame a chubby smiling hippo, while translucent soap bubbles rise past lily pads and a single golden water lily. The lettering keeps a gentle hand-lettered feel — the honoree's name in flowing script, the headline in a rounded playful display face, and the details in a clean geometric sans that stays easy to read. The palette pairs deep navy ink with sunny yellow and soft aqua foam, echoing a toddler's first bath-time picture book. It suits a one-year-old's splash-themed birthday party, a poolside or pond-side gathering, or any celebration for a little one who loves water, bubbles and bath toys. The card reads Hip Hip Hooray across the top, with the party date, time and venue printed on the invitation, and guests can reply online with a single tap. The soft watercolor style works whether the party is hosted at home or at a venue — the imagery celebrates splashing and ponds without presuming a particular place. Bubbling detail, the floating lily pad and the gentle pastel palette make this a keepsake a family will smile over for years.
