About this design
This hand-drawn doodle birthday invitation celebrates the joy of a child's party with the light, playful feel of a page from a sketchbook. The card leads with oversized casual script reading 'Party Time', hand-lettered in warm golden yellow, with the honoree's name set in bold geometric capitals that echo the clean lettering of a modern picture book. Around the headline float hand-drawn teal balloons with wavy strings, a softly hatched pink heart, four-pointed navy stars and curly confetti swirls — every motif drawn with the same wobbly, friendly line, so the whole card reads as one doodled moment rather than clip art.
The palette is sunny and bright: golden yellow, navy blue, soft teal and candy pink on clean white paper, giving hosts a cheerful backdrop that suits casual home gatherings and indoor parties alike. It is a wonderful choice for a young child's birthday — a first birthday, a fourth birthday, or any milestone where a lighthearted, handmade feel is the point. The uncluttered layout leaves room for the host to add personal details, while the playful lettering sets an unmistakably festive tone from the very first glance.
Sending this invitation sets the mood before the party begins: guests see a card that looks like it was drawn with love, and the party that follows can match that warmth. Printed or shared digitally, it works beautifully for evites, printed mailers, and save-the-date posts alike, and it pairs naturally with balloon and confetti party themes.
