About this design
This birthday dinner invitation is drawn in a single royal-blue ink on warm cream paper, matching the card art's monochrome botanical letterpress style exactly. The page opens with a string of hand-drawn lights over an engraved caps eyebrow, then a large serif honoree name with a blue-to-ink foil fill, the age as an elegant serif co-headline, and a quiet italic tagline.
The invitation card sits on a linen mat with a double hairline and lifts gently on hover on desktop. Every section continues the botanical vocabulary: hand-drawn leaf sprigs frame the page corners, engraved vine rules divide the sections, and the six detail rows each carry a drawn leaf icon that draws itself in on scroll — calendar, clock, map pin, envelope, blossom and pennant, all at one stroke weight.
The countdown runs as four rings that draw themselves once, with the digits set in engraved caps. The message from the family sits in a bordered cream panel, the map block carries a drawn blueprint crosshatch until the live map loads, and the RSVP closes the page as the only deep-ink panel: a botanical seal with a drawn heart, engraved caps title, and a solid cream RSVP button with a slow halo.
The page is mobile-first, fully responsive from 320px, and ships a reduced-motion mode. It suits a milestone birthday dinner, an elegant family celebration, or any occasion where the host wants a sophisticated monochrome invitation without a formal wedding register. Guests get a live countdown, directions, add-to-calendar and a one-tap RSVP.
