About this design
This old school hip hop birthday invitation is a neon mixtape session on black brick. The card art leads with a giant beveled age numeral in neon yellow, a heavy brush graffiti name in hot pink, and a retro boombox drawn in cyan and green glow — 90s street art meeting arcade signage. The guest page answers the card in the same world: a K-BOOM mixtape session where the hero invitation sits on a cassette J-card mat, the countdown runs inside a boombox deck with spinning tape reels, event details read like a tracklist setlist with a hand-drawn icon family, and the RSVP closes the set with a spinning vinyl record and a press-record stamp. Lettering mixes a brush graffiti voice for the honoree name with a chunky arcade block display for headlines, mono labels for the small print, and a rounded sans for body copy. It suits a 13th birthday, a teens' hip hop or breakdance party, a retro 90s theme night, or a family block-party celebration where the host wants loud, joyful color rather than a quiet card. Sending the digital invite includes the full RSVP form, a live countdown to the party, a location map with directions and add-to-calendar links, and dress code and parking notes guests can check in one scroll. The neon palette photographs well on phones and reads clearly in a dark venue; hosts can personalize every date, time and venue in seconds before sending.
