About this design
A hand-drawn crayon bug birthday invitation that reads like a proud field notebook for the year's biggest bug hunt. The giant red nine leads the identity stack as a true co-headline in chunky comic lettering above the honoree's name in textured brush script, while the guest page frames the card inside a bug-catcher's jar with a punched lid band and a moving glass sheen. The countdown runs as a specimen strip with air-hole notches, each digit flaring like a firefly when it changes. The six event details appear as a field-notes ledger with pinned stamp labels, and the RSVP closes the page as the only ink-dark panel with a drawn ladybug seal and a sonar ring on the reply button. Every icon on the page belongs to one commissioned family from the bug world: flower, stopwatch, hive, pencil, butterfly net, and mat plate. The palette stays true to the artwork: crayon red, bumblebee yellow, and leaf green on cream paper with ink black. Motion is choreographed, not looped: the eyebrow pill drops, the nine pops, the name blooms, the card settles into its jar, and sections rise into view on scroll, all transform-only for reliability and gated by a reduced-motion guard. Built for hosts throwing a bug-themed kids' birthday party who want the invitation to feel as hand-made and buzzing as the party itself.
