About this design
This hand-drawn watermelon picnic birthday invitation turns a summer party into a storybook page. The card itself is drawn in warm crayon strokes on bright white paper, with an oversized hot-pink number five that owns the center, a black ink outline that makes every slice and seed pop, and a picnic basket tucked into the corner. The guest page picks up that same paper-and-crayon world: a cream canvas with gingham stripes, a string of party bunting, drifting watermelon seeds and floating slices in the air, and the honoree's name set in a chunky marker face with a pink ink shadow. Every detail row is drawn with its own themed icon from the picnic world, from a watermelon-slice clock for the time to a picnic basket for the venue, all in the same hand-drawn stroke. The countdown sits in sticker cells with rind-green tops, and the RSVP closes the page as a giant watermelon-slice ticket with a green rind band and a seed row, so the reply moment feels like the party itself. It is a natural fit for a kids summer party invite, a 5th birthday invitation, or any toddler birthday party invite where parents want something cheerful and handmade rather than generic. The palette stays to the card: hot pink, saddle brown, forest green and sunny cream, with a yellow offset shadow that makes every button feel pressable. Everything is mobile-first, the countdown ticks live, and the RSVP form collects responses through the platform's guest tracking, so the host sees every answer in one place. A light, sunny card like this also pairs well with a simple picnic setup, a backyard table with a gingham cloth, and plenty of chilled watermelon.
