About this design
This first birthday invitation is built on a soft watercolor whale scene: a pale sky-blue wash with a coral number one, a leaping whale in layered blues, and gentle wave lines - the whole card set in quiet nursery watercolor with navy serif caps and flowing script. The matching guest page carries the same tide-pool palette: a pale foam ground with rising bubbles and light rays, a calligraphy name in Great Vibes, engraved Cinzel section titles with a foil finish, and a splash-pass countdown where a hand-drawn whale rides the wave into the big day. The deep-ocean RSVP panel closes the page on its most formal note, with a self-drawing splash seal and a coral reply button. It suits a baby's first birthday, a splash-pad party, a nautical or under-the-sea theme, and parents who want stationery that feels hand-painted rather than printed. Sending it includes the watercolor whale invitation card, a live countdown, event details with dress code and parking rows, map directions, and a reply-by reminder - everything a host needs to gather the little one's first guest list. The page itself is built to match: a pale foam ground with a soft paper-grain texture, rising bubbles and drifting light rays, and a calligraphy name set in Great Vibes at display scale. Section titles are engraved in Cinzel with a subtle foil finish, and the six event details - date, time, venue, reply-by, dress code and parking - are stamped into a frosted tide-pool panel with hand-drawn wave icons. The countdown runs as a splash-pass strip: four bubble cells on a drawn wave, with a small hand-illustrated whale riding the wave line toward the party date. The deep-ocean RSVP panel closes the page on its most formal note, with a self-drawing splash seal and a coral reply button that invites every guest to answer yes, no or maybe. Parents love that the whole design feels hand-painted rather than printed: the watercolor washes, the droplet corner ornaments and the engraved hairlines all come from the card's own artwork, so the invitation and the guest page read as one family. It is an especially good fit for a baby shower, a one-year-old's birthday, a poolside gathering or any celebration with an under-the-sea flavour, and hosts can personalise the name, date and venue in a single edit before sending.
