About this design
This watercolour cowboy first birthday invitation feels like a page torn from a vintage western storybook — a cream parchment ground, a plaid gingham number one at the heart of the card, and a pair of painted cowboy boots with a wide-brimmed hat resting against it. The palette is all rustic warmth: parchment cream paper, saddle brown ink, dusty denim blue, rust red bunting and aged gold stars. The guest page keeps the same hand-painted world: the card hangs as a wanted-poster with nailed corners and a rope-dotted frame, a brand-iron roundel sears onto its corner, bunting sways across the top of the page and tumbleweeds roll slowly past. The birthday milestone is the page's co-headline — a big typewriter numeral one with a stamped gold shadow — and every section answers the theme: The Round-Up, Sundown Counter, Where to Ride, Tip Your Hat. A dotted-stitch countdown of sticker cells counts the days, detail rows read like a rodeo manifest, and the reply closes the page as a deep rust-red brand panel with a gold rope seal that draws itself in. The design is watercolour through and through: paper grain, notched poster corners and drifting dust motes keep every layer soft, warm and hand-made.
