About this design
This black and gold first birthday invitation sets a 1st birthday in a glamorous, modern editorial register. The card pairs a jet-black and pure-white palette with a single metallic gold accent: a realistic 3D foil balloon numeral in the hero position, framed by a cluster of black, gold and confetti-filled balloons and curling gold and black ribbons along the left edge. The honoree name is set in heavy condensed uppercase lettering (Anton), while the occasion line runs in clean geometric Montserrat and the calligraphy flourish in a flowing Dancing Script — a three-voice typographic choir that reads as one authored suite. The guest page carries the same black, gold and champagne-sparkle language: a gold double-hairline mat frames the card like a keepsake, gold confetti and ghost balloons drift across a soft paper ground, and the RSVP closes the page on an ink-dark panel with a drawn gold-foil balloon above a solid gold reply button. Sending this invitation includes a live countdown to the party, a six-row details ledger (date, time, venue, RSVP deadline, dress code and parking), a pinned map with directions, add-to-calendar, a personal host note, and a built-in online RSVP with yes-no-maybe replies — so guests confirm without a single phone call. Because the number and name are placeholders, the same design fits a first birthday for a boy or girl, and the gold-and-black palette flatters any season and any venue, from a living room celebration to a hired pavilion. One practical hosting tip: order the matching thank-you card from the same suite so the gold-foil motif carries through to your post-party notes, and send the digital invitation two to three weeks ahead so guests can RSVP before the cake order is placed.
