Your saved contacts are everyone you've invited before. Each time you add a guest to an event, that person is saved to your address book automatically — so the next event is quicker than the first, and you never retype the same name and email twice.
Where to find them
Open Contacts from your account menu, or go to web.invitebird.com/dashboard/contacts. This is your whole address book in one place, separate from any single event. You'll also see the same contacts inside an event, on the Guests & RSVP tab, under Add from your address book.
Manage your address book
- Search. Filter by name, email, or phone as you type.
- Add. Select Add contact and enter a name plus an email or a phone number.
- Edit. Select the pencil on any row to fix a name, email, or phone. Phone numbers are tidied into a standard format for you.
- Remove. Select the trash icon to delete a contact, or tick several and use Delete to remove a batch. Removing a contact never affects any event they're already on.
- Export. Download your contacts as a CSV to keep your own copy.
Merge duplicates
If the same person ends up saved twice — say one row has their email and another has their phone — you can fold them into one:
- Review & merge. When two or more contacts share a name, a banner offers to review them. Each group merges with one tap: the surviving contact keeps its details and fills in anything it was missing from the others, and their usage history is combined.
- Merge a selection. Tick any two or more contacts and choose Merge to combine look-alikes the name scanner doesn't catch (for example, the same person entered two slightly different ways).
Merging can't be undone, so it always asks first.
Import contacts from another service
Have a list somewhere else? Select Import and pick where it came from. InviteBird reads exports from Evite, Paperless Post, Punchbowl, Greenvelope, RSVPify, and Google Contacts, plus any plain CSV file — it recognizes the format for you, whichever row you tapped. Download the template from the same menu if you'd rather build the file by hand.
Importing only adds people to your address book. It never messages anyone, and contacts already saved are skipped, so a re-import never creates duplicates.
Use your contacts
- Add from your address book. On an event's Guests & RSVP tab, find Add from your address book, search, and tap Add beside anyone to put them on that event's list (on a live event their invitation goes out too). People already on the list read On the list.
- Choose from contacts. While building an event in the editor, use Choose from contacts to pick several people at once.
Contacts you add on an event, and edits you make in the address book, stay in sync — one address book, everywhere you invite from.
