Here's how to build your guest list, from adding people one at a time to reusing a list you already have.

Steps

  1. Open the Guests step. In the editor, go to Guests. It's also available from your host desk after you send.
  2. Add someone new. Enter a name plus an email address or phone number, then tap Add to guest list.
  3. Tap your address book. Everyone you've invited before is saved automatically. Search your contacts and tap any name to add them instantly. To manage that address book on its own — search, edit, merge duplicates, or import a list from Evite, Paperless Post and more — open Your saved contacts.
  4. Reuse a past guest list. Choose Reuse a past guest list to bring everyone over from one of your earlier events.
  5. Allow plus-ones (optional). On the Details step you decide whether guests can bring extra guests and how many each may bring. Guests then say how many they're bringing when they RSVP.

What your guests will see

Each guest gets their own invitation — by email if you entered an email, or by text if you entered only a phone number. Guests don't need an account to open it or reply.

Limits and important details

  • A name plus either an email or a phone number is all each guest needs.
  • Text invitations reach US and Canada phone numbers; invite guests elsewhere by email.
  • Plus-ones count toward your plan's guest total, since plans count everyone at the door.
  • You can add more guests any time, even after you've sent.
  • Have a big list in a spreadsheet? You can import guests from a CSV file on your host desk's Guests & RSVP tab — before or after you send. See Importing guests from a file.
  • On the host desk, Add guest sends the invitation straight away once your event is live; before you've sent, it just adds them to your list (the button says which: Add & send invite or Add to list).
