Your InviteBird account is your home base as a host: it holds every event you create, your guest lists, your receipts, and any events you help run as a co-host. You sign in with an email and password, or with Google if you set your account up that way. Guests never need an account — they respond straight from their invitation link.
Creating your account
Open InviteBird and choose Sign up. You'll enter your name, your email address, and a password of at least 8 characters. The name you enter is the name that appears as the host on your events and in the emails guests receive, so use the name you'd like guests to see.
If you'd rather not manage another password, you can continue with Google — Google confirms your name and email for you, and there's no separate verification step.
Confirm your email
When you sign up with an email and password, we send a confirmation email right away and show you a "check your inbox" screen. Tap Confirm my email in that message and you're signed in automatically and welcomed in — you'll land on a short welcome page where you can choose where to go: hosting, co-hosting, the invitations sent to you, or straight into designing your first invitation.
A few practical notes:
- The confirmation link lasts 24 hours. If it expires, just sign in — we'll send you a fresh one automatically.
- Didn't get it? Use Resend on the check-your-inbox screen (there's a short cooldown between sends), and peek at your spam folder.
- Until your email is confirmed, signing in shows the same check-your-inbox screen rather than your dashboard.
Signing in
Return any time and choose Sign in:
- Email and password — enter the email and password you signed up with.
- Google — if you created your account with Google, use the Google button. Signing in with a password won't work for a Google account, and vice versa, so use the same method you started with.
After signing in you land on your dashboard, where all of your events live.
Your profile
Open the account menu and choose Profile to see your account details: your name, the email your account uses, and the date you joined. Your dashboard is where you manage events; your profile is the record of the account itself.
Changing your name, email, or profile photo from the profile page isn't available yet — if you need one of those updated, contact us and we'll help. Deleting your account, on the other hand, is fully self-service from your profile — see Your privacy and your data for exactly what that removes.
If you forget your password
Use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. Enter your account email and we'll send a reset link — tap it, choose a new password, and you're back in. Two things worth knowing:
- The reset link lasts 1 hour and works once. If it expires, request a new one from the same screen.
- Resetting your password signs you out everywhere else, so anyone who had your old password is out too.
If your account was created with Google, you don't have an InviteBird password at all: use the Google button to sign in, and recover your Google account through Google if needed.
Signing out
You can sign out from the account menu on your dashboard, and from the account menu in the top bar while you're inside an event. Signing out on a shared or public computer is a good habit — it keeps your guest lists and receipts private.
Common questions
Do my guests need an InviteBird account? No. Guests open the link you send and respond right there — no sign-up, no password. An account is only for you as the host (and for anyone you invite as a co-host).
I forgot my password — how do I reset it? Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and enter your account email. We'll send a reset link that lasts 1 hour; tap it and pick a new password. If you signed up with Google, use the Google button instead — there's no InviteBird password to reset.
I never got the confirmation email — what now? Use Resend on the check-your-inbox screen (it re-arms after a short cooldown) and check your spam folder for a message from InviteBird. Signing in again also sends a fresh link automatically. Each link lasts 24 hours.
Can I change the name or email on my account? Not from the profile page today. Send us a note through contact us with the change you need and we'll take care of it. Your event's host name and "a note for your guests" are edited separately, inside each event.
I signed up with Google — can I add a password later, or vice versa? Stick with the method you started with. Google accounts sign in with the Google button; email accounts sign in with their password. If you need to switch methods, reach out and we'll advise.
Is my account shared if I add a co-host? No. A co-host signs in with their own account and only sees the specific event you invited them to. See Adding co-hosts to your event.
How do I close my account entirely? From Profile, in the Danger zone. It's immediate and permanent — read Your privacy and your data first so you know what gets removed.
