For a bridal or couples shower in InviteBird, use Bridal Shower Essentials (Couples Shower Essentials on a couples shower) to choose your games and keepsakes. Add the couple's details, switch on the activities you want, and collect guest answers through RSVP before the quiz reveal and gift opening. Everything saves as you go.
They appear on bridal, wedding and couples showers. A wedding itself or an engagement party doesn't count.
To compare game ideas, preparation and materials, read 19 bridal shower games: classics and printables. Its paper activities and sample plans can help you decide what to include alongside your InviteBird setup.
Who are we celebrating?
The suite starts with one short card: the names of the two people you're celebrating, and the wedding date. Every game reads it — the quiz becomes Who knows Sophie and James best, its answers read as their names, and nothing assumes who is marrying whom. The wedding date is also what the anniversary letters count from.
The games
Who knows the couple best — the shower's favorite game. Each partner gets their own private link and answers the same questions separately, on their own phone. Guests guess what each of them said, and only guests are scored. Most questions are pick-one — who said "I love you" first, who's the better cook — and either of them can write their own answer under "Something else", which is shown at the reveal but never scored. You never see their answers until you reveal, so you get to play too. On the day the big screen shows what each of them said, in their own recorded voice if they recorded it. See Who knows them best.
Gift bingo — for the gift opening. Every guest holds a card of things somebody might have bought; you tap each gift as it's opened and it marks on everybody's card at once. The squares come ready, so there's nothing to set up. See Gift bingo.
The keepsakes
Advice for the couple — guests say how they know the couple — married themselves, family, one of their closest people — and each gets the question that fits. Someone who's been married twenty years gets "What's the one thing that actually works?"; a friend gets "When did you know these two fit?" Guests can type or record, and people who reply no are asked as well. You can read the answers as they come in. See Keepsake prompts.
For their new home — one screen with two small cards: a date-night idea and a favorite recipe (its name, ingredients, method and why it's a favorite). Under Downloads you can print every recipe as a 4×6 recipe card, two to a page, and every idea as date-night slips, eight to a page with cutting lines — ready to fill a real jar.
A letter for year one — guests write a letter to the couple at the shower. It's sealed: nobody reads it before it opens — not you, not the other guests, not even the writer. It opens a year after the wedding date on the first card, so the wedding date has to be there before you can switch the letters on; change the date and the letters move with it. On the day we email the letters to you, and the link inside can be forwarded. Paper is the traditional first-anniversary gift. See Time capsules.
Stock the bar
Stock the bar — "please bring a bottle" becomes the shower's prize draw. As guests reply they pledge a bottle — wine, spirits or something alcohol-free — and each bottle earns a ticket with its own code. Before the day you can run a practice spin that doesn't count; at the shower you draw on the big screen. It starts switched off.
What starts switched on
When you first open the suite before you send, the games that suit a shower start switched on: Who knows the couple best, gift bingo, Advice for the couple and For their new home. A letter for year one waits for the wedding date, and Stock the bar waits until you want it. If you send first, nothing switches on by itself.
What your guests see
- In the RSVP — a few quiz questions; the advice question and the letter; For their new home on one screen, with the bottle pledge on the same screen when Stock the bar is on; and the final note. A reply is at most thirteen screens, plus the gifts page if you run it.
- At the shower — gift bingo on their own phone during the gift opening, plus the quiz reveal and the draw on the big screen, all run from your Event Day screen.
- A year after the wedding — the letters, in your inbox to pass on.
Anything you've left off, or haven't set up, never appears.
Common questions
Can I see what the couple answered before the shower? No. You see how many questions each of them has answered and nothing more — that's what lets you guess alongside your guests.
Do the two of them see each other's answers? No. Two separate links, two separate sets of answers. That separation is the game.
Is the advice sealed? No — Advice for the couple is yours to read as it arrives. Only A letter for year one is sealed.
What happened to Marriage predictions and the older advice step? Marriage predictions is no longer offered for new showers — its questions couldn't be settled at the shower. The older couple-advice step has been folded into Advice for the couple. A shower that already collected answers keeps its older steps until it's over, and the suite says so.
Do the bridal games cost extra? No — they're included on every plan. You're billed by guest count, per Plans and pricing.
