The kiosk isn't just a welcome desk — it's your game screen. Depending on what you've set up, Event Day can run a live poll, reveal trivia answers, host a full big-screen quiz, reveal your occasion's games and draw the prize.

You run these from the Live side of your Event Day tab — your own signed-in dashboard, so there's no code to type. The kiosk carries its own copies of the host moments too, and those ask for your 4-digit kiosk passcode, so a guest holding the tablet can never spoil a reveal.

One list for the games

Every game you've switched on sits in one Games list on the Live side, in the order a party usually runs them:

  • Trivia — reveal the answers.
  • Guess the birthday star — tap Enter today's answers, fill in what actually happened (taps, numbers and dates, no typing essays), save, then Reveal the scoreboard. The reveal stays unavailable until today's answers are in.
  • Who knows them best — reveal the guest of honor's answers, one question at a time. Revealing also closes their link for changes.
  • Guess the jar — type the count if you haven't yet, then reveal the winner.
  • This or that — show how the room split on the big screen. There's no winner.
  • The drawing — the diaper raffle, Stock the bar or the prize drawing: draw a winner on the big screen.

Gift bingo keeps its own panel. Before the day, the list says Turns on at the party and shows no buttons; on the day, each game runs from here. Once a game is revealed, guessing is closed for good — a guest who tries afterwards is told the answer's out, and hiding the reveal again only clears the screens; it never reopens guessing.

Live poll

With a question set up in your Ask module, the Live poll tile lets guests vote right on the kiosk — one tap, and results update for everyone. It's the same question guests can answer from their own phones, so kiosk taps and phone votes land in one tally. Running several at once? Switch which one the room is voting on with the poll switcher on the Live side.

Trivia: the big reveal

Trivia is the During RSVP half of your Quiz module — the quiet game guests play as they reply. If you chose "keep it a surprise", the kiosk gets a Trivia answers tile. Before the reveal it shows the questions and options only; the correct answers are deliberately kept off the device until the moment you choose.

When the room's ready, reveal from the Games list (or the kiosk tile with your passcode). The kiosk shows the correct answers, and every guest who played sees their own score and the answers on their own phone, within seconds. Revealed too soon? The same control hides them again.

The big-screen quiz takes over

Your Quiz module's other half is Live at the event — the against-the-clock game everyone plays at once. Start a round and the kiosk becomes the game screen automatically: lobby, questions, answer reveals, and leaderboard. Guests join from their own phones by scanning the kiosk's QR — they pick a nickname and play along, each question on a timer.

  • Questions auto-advance when the timer runs out (and can skip ahead once everyone has answered, if you enabled that).
  • Answers stay hidden on phones until the reveal, so nobody can peek.
  • A refreshed phone rejoins the same player, and late joiners are welcome from the current question onward.
  • After the finale, the kiosk lingers on the podium for about a minute, then returns to the tiles on its own.

The drawing

The Diaper raffle at a baby shower, Stock the bar at a bridal shower, and the Prize drawing at a birthday, graduation or retirement all draw the same way. Tap draw and the wheel spins on the big screen and on every guest's phone at the same time, landing on the same name everywhere. The winner is picked once, on our side, before a single wheel starts turning — so every screen tells the same story, and someone who looks up late sees the settled winner rather than a re-spin.

  • Everyone with an entry is in the pool, shown by name (never contact details).
  • Each household wins one prize unless you've switched on Let people win more than once.
  • Only people who checked in — switch it on in Event Day → Live, on the prize drawing's row, and guests who haven't checked in at the door sit the draw out. Walk-ins added at the door get a ticket. You can set it before the party.
  • Drawing from the kiosk tile asks for your kiosk passcode. The kiosk only draws on the day; from your dashboard you can draw early if you confirm it — anyone who replies after that won't be in that draw.
  • A preview of the kiosk from your dashboard is a practice spin: nothing is saved and nothing reaches guests' phones.
  • Prizes are awarded in the order you listed them.

At a shower: how the room guessed

Baby predictions can't be settled at the shower — the baby isn't here yet. So at a baby or bridal shower the Predictions tile shows how the room guessed instead: how many guesses are in, the most-picked answers, the middle weight. Nobody's own card is shown. The scoring happens when you record "The baby's here".

The wishes wall

Add the Wishes wall tile in the kiosk builder (it's off until you do) and the kiosk rotates what guests wrote for the guest of honor — their keepsake answers and recordings — every few seconds, signed with a first name and last initial. From the Live side you can Hide from the wall any single message; it stays in your keepsake. Recordings play on the kiosk only; guests' phones get the words.

Taking the room off the big screen

While a reveal or a draw is up, the Live side shows an On the big screen now strip with a Clear the big screen button. Clearing returns the kiosk to its tiles without un-revealing anything — answers stay revealed, the winner stays drawn.

Common questions

Can a guest reveal answers or draw by poking at the kiosk? No. The kiosk's host moments ask for your 4-digit kiosk passcode every time, and wrong guesses are slowed down after a few tries. The controls you'd normally use live on your own signed-in dashboard, which a guest can't reach.

How quickly do guests' phones catch up with a reveal? Within seconds — the phones and the kiosk check for a live moment on their own. Nobody refreshes anything.

Do guests need an app? No app, no account. They scan the QR on the kiosk and play in the browser.

Why don't I see a game's tile? Occasion game tiles appear once the game is set up with real content — and, for a drawing, once there are entries to draw. The prize drawing, predictions and Who knows them best tiles are on by default when they're ready; the wishes wall is one you add.

Where do winners get recorded? On the event itself. The kiosk and your dashboard share one winners list.
