Everything for the day itself now lives in one place: an Event Day tab on your event, in the row of tabs across the top. Open it weeks ahead to build your check-in kiosk and write your schedule; open it again on the day to run the room from your phone.

It has two modes, and you switch between them with the pills at the top:

  • Setup — the quiet work. The kiosk and its tiles, the passcode, your run of show, announcements, and who's on the door.
  • Live — the day itself. Arrivals as they happen, the schedule with a "now" marker, one-tap game moments, and a record of everything that was done.

Only you and any co-hosts can see the tab. Guests never do.

Controls for the room

The Live side brings together your arrivals board, schedule and game moments. When those modules are set up, you can choose the active poll, run a live-quiz session and read the audit log of actions taken during the event. Each control works on the same event your co-hosts see.

Setup mode

Open your kiosk

The top of Setup is the kiosk itself. Off the day Preview the kiosk opens it marked as a preview — your real guests and tables, with check-ins and walk-ins that aren't saved; on the day the button and the copy change to Open kiosk, the real thing. Set a 4-digit passcode before the tablet goes to the door — it's what locks the screen. Reset kiosk link (under the button, once the kiosk has been opened) replaces the kiosk link and the door sign's code if either leaks; tick Also reissue door passes only if a pass leaked too — every pass already emailed then stops working. Open that same link on the tablet you'll prop by the door. See Event Day mode for the lock and the QR band.

Arrange the tiles

Under it is the kiosk builder — the list of tiles your kiosk will show, in the order it will show them, built from the modules you've switched on and filled in.

  • Reorder by dragging a row on a computer, or with the ↑ / ↓ buttons on a phone.
  • Hide a tile that's on by default — the seating lookup, the menu, the schedule, the photo drop, the photo wall — with the eye button.
  • Add a tile that's off by default: anything else that's set up shows an Add affordance, so you decide what earns space on the big screen.
  • A module that isn't set up yet doesn't show a dead row — it shows a quiet "needs setting up" link straight to that module.

Check-in can't be removed. It's the point of the screen.

The rest of Setup

  • Run of show — a read-through of your schedule, with a link to edit it in the Timeline module. One schedule feeds the kiosk, guests' phones, and Live mode.
  • Announcements — write a note now, schedule one for later in the night, or save lines you'll reuse. See Announcements and the day-of timeline.
  • Front desk — how walk-ins and your capacity cap behave, plus the staff roster. See The front desk.
  • Guest access — a reminder of what guests already carry: their personal door pass, and the phone version of the kiosk.

Live mode

Live mode arms itself around the event — from the day before through the day after. Outside that window it shows an Open the controls button, so you can walk the whole hub in advance and know exactly where every button is. The controls are real whenever you tap them: a note you send, a reveal, a draw or an Advance shows on the kiosk and on guests' event-day pages straight away. To practise the door itself, use Preview the kiosk in Setup — check-ins and walk-ins you try there aren't saved.

If the kiosk isn't ready — no passcode set, or the screen never opened — Live says so at the top, with a link back to Setup. Your controls still work; you're signed in.

The board

At the top is a read-only status board that refreshes itself about every twelve seconds (and pauses while your phone screen is off, to save the battery):

  • Checked in — how many people are in (a party of three counts as three), how many said yes, how many of those aren't here yet, and the last few names through the door.
  • Replies — yes, maybe and no, counted in replies the way your Guests tab counts them.
  • Photos, poll votes, quiz players, song requests — the modules ticking along. The board draws those counts from the modules on your event.

Every tile links to its own tab. Names and numbers only — no email addresses or phone numbers on this board, ever.

Running the schedule

Under the board is your whole day, in order, with the current moment marked NOW and the next one waiting under it.

  • Advance steps the room to the next moment; Prev steps back.
  • Auto follows the clock on its own. Manual pins the room to the moment you chose — useful when dinner runs twenty minutes late and you'd rather the screens didn't get ahead of you.
  • Tap any row to jump straight to it.
  • + Add moment opens a small form right there. It writes to the same Timeline module the Timeline tab uses, so the kiosk and every guest's phone pick it up too.

Nothing here is a separate copy of your schedule — there's one schedule, and this is the steering wheel.

The moments

Below that sits one Games list for whatever your event actually has set up, in the order a party runs them: reveal the trivia answers, enter today's answers and reveal Guess the birthday star, reveal Who knows them best, reveal the jar, show how the room split in This or that, draw the prize. Each asks you to confirm once, then lights up the kiosk and every guest's phone together. See Games on the day. The Live side also supports poll switching and live-quiz session controls. See Live moments on the big screen.

While something is projecting, a strip reads On the big screen now with a Clear the big screen button beside it.

The record

Every control you run is written down: who did it, what it was, and when. The audit log at the bottom of Live shows the whole trail, newest first, with a Load more for the rest of the night. It's kept on your event rather than in the page, so it's still there the next morning — handy for "wait, when did we actually draw the raffle?"

Common questions

Where did the Event Day card on my Home tab go? It's still there — it's now a short card that opens the Event Day tab. Everything it used to hold inline (the passcode, the tiles, the announce box) moved into the tab, where there's room for it.

Can my co-host use all of this? Yes. Co-hosts see the same tab with the same controls. Their actions are recorded under their own name in the audit log.

Do I need the kiosk passcode to use Live mode? No. Live mode runs on your signed-in dashboard, so there's no passcode to type. The passcode protects the kiosk — the tablet a guest could pick up. See Event Day mode.

I'm on my phone at the party. Is this usable? That's what it was built for. Every control is a full-width, thumb-sized button, and the board reads top to bottom.

Can I try it before the day? Yes. Preview the kiosk and Preview a guest's phone in Setup show your real guests and tables, marked as a preview, and check-ins you try there aren't saved. In Live, Open the controls lets you find every button early — but reveals, draws and announcements are real if you tap them, so learn the layout, not the ceremony.

Does Event Day cost extra? No. It's built from the modules already included with your plan. See Plans and pricing.
