Use Resend invite when one guest needs their invitation again, an automatic reminder for a scheduled follow-up, or a nudge to email guests who haven't replied right now. In InviteBird, these are separate actions with different channels and limits:
- Resend — sends the invitation again to one guest. It lives on the Guests & RSVP tab.
- Reminders — automatic follow-ups you schedule ahead, for everyone who hasn't replied. The Reminders card lives in your event's Settings (the Reminders chip on the Guests & RSVP tab opens it).
- Nudges — the same friendly follow-up, sent by hand in one tap from Home whenever you choose.
Resend to a single guest
On the Guests & RSVP tab, open a guest's row and choose Resend invite. It goes out on the same channel as before — email if the guest has an email address, otherwise a text message. The guest's row updates its Last invited note so you can see it went through.
Resending is handy when someone deleted the email, changed addresses, or simply asks for the link again. It sends only to that one guest, so no one else is disturbed.
The Reminders card
A reminder is a short note to the guests who haven't replied yet. Anyone who already responded is skipped automatically, so no one is pestered.
The card reads as a short list. Each reminder is one line — when it sends, and the first words the guest will read:
3 days before · Hi Sam, we'd love to know…
Above the list is a single counter (1 of 3 used), and below it an Add reminder button. That's the whole resting state. Under the card, one read-only line shows your nudges too (Nudges sent by hand · 1 of 3 used) with an Open Home link — it counts the same nudges Home counts.
Writing a reminder
Tap a row to open it. Inside you'll find everything for that one reminder:
- When it sends — a preset (7 days before the event, 3 days before, 1 day before) or Custom… for any day count you like. When your event has a time zone set, it goes out at about 10 AM in that zone on that day.
- Send automatically — leave it ticked and the reminder goes out on its own at that time. Untick it and the row shows Paused; it stays in your list but never sends by itself.
- The message — up to 500 characters, in your own words. The Insert chips drop in personalization tokens (the guest's first name, your event's title) that are filled in per guest when it sends.
- Only guests tagged — an optional filter. Tap one or more of your guest tags to narrow this reminder to those guests. Pick none and it goes to everyone still awaiting.
- Remove — deletes this reminder.
- Send now — sends this exact reminder immediately, without waiting for its scheduled day.
Changes save as you make them; the card says Saving… and then Saved.
Nudges: sending one by hand, right now
A nudge is a friendly email to everyone still awaiting, sent the moment you tap. Nudges live on Home:
- the Do this next card's Nudge action, and
- the RSVP tracker's nudge chip on the Awaiting row.
Home keeps the count beside them (2 of 3 nudges left). Nudges are counted separately from your automatic reminders.
From the Analytics tab, a funnel stage's Remind non-responders button takes you to the Guests tab filtered to everyone awaiting a reply, where you can do the same. See Reading your event's analytics funnel.
How many reminders and nudges you can send
- On the Nest and Hatch plans, each event gets up to 3 automatic reminders and, counted separately, up to 3 nudges.
- Flight and every plan above it include unlimited reminders and unlimited nudges at no extra cost.
- On Nest or Hatch, a one-time $2.99 unlock for the event covers both: unlimited nudges and unlimited automatic reminders. The offer appears on the Reminders card as you reach your last reminder, and on Home once your nudges run out.
- Co-hosts can send nudges; only the event owner can unlock more.
For what each plan includes, see Plans and pricing.
When reminders aren't available
If everyone has already replied, there's no one left to remind and a send simply reports that nothing went out. Reminders also stop once an event has wrapped up or been canceled, since there's no longer anyone to chase.
Common questions
Will a reminder or a nudge go to guests who already RSVP'd? No. Reminders and nudges reach only guests who haven't replied yet. Everyone who already responded is skipped automatically.
What channel does a resend, a reminder or a nudge use? A resend uses the same channel the guest is set up for — email if they have an email address, otherwise a text (US and Canada mobile numbers, subject to their text opt-in). Reminders and nudges are email only, so a guest you invited by text won't receive one.
How many reminders and nudges can I send? Nest and Hatch include up to 3 automatic reminders and up to 3 nudges per event; Flight and above include unlimited of both. On Nest or Hatch, the one-time $2.99 unlock gives the event unlimited nudges and unlimited automatic reminders.
Can I set a reminder for a specific day? Yes. Open the reminder and choose Custom… in the timing menu, then set how many days before your event it should go out.
Nothing was sent — why? Everyone has already replied, the guests still awaiting have no email address on file, or the event has wrapped up or been canceled. In each case there's no one left to reach.
