An event FAQ is a short list of questions and answers you write for your guests — arrival time, dress code, parking, whether to bring a gift. Guests read it as they RSVP, so the things people always ask are answered up front and your inbox stays quieter. It's a one-way, read-only list: you write the answers, guests read them.

Turning on the FAQ

Open your event and choose FAQ. Off, it asks "Add a short FAQ for your guests?" Tap Yes, add an FAQ to switch it on and start writing.

Writing questions and answers

In Questions, add each question with its answer. Type a question like What should I wear? or Is there parking? and write the answer. You can add several, move them up and down, and delete any you don't need. Changes save on their own as you type — a green check marks each saved question. You can keep up to ten questions — enough to cover the essentials without overwhelming anyone.

If you'd rather not start from scratch, the AI helper drafts one question at a time with an answer built from your event details. It only uses facts you've actually entered — if it can't find one, it leaves the answer for you to write, and you can't keep the question until you do. You keep, edit, or skip each suggestion. There's also a tidy-up button on each question you wrote yourself to polish the wording.

Overview shows your questions the way guests read them, and Preview what guests see opens the guest step itself.

What your guests see

Guests read your FAQ in three places:

  • While they RSVP, as a "Good to know" step shortly before the final note — a simple list they tap to open. There's nothing to fill in, so it never holds anyone up.
  • On their RSVP page afterwards, so they can come back to it any time.
  • On Event Day, if you add the "Good to know" tile — on the big screen and on guests' phones. Only questions with an answer show there.

A question with no answer yet shows on the RSVP step as "The host will share more soon."

Turning it off

Settings has the turn-off control. Turning the FAQ off hides it from guests everywhere right away; your questions and answers stay saved, and come back when you switch it on again.

Common questions

Can guests ask their own questions through the FAQ? No. The FAQ is a read-only list you write — guests read it but can't post questions. If you want to hear back from guests, a poll collects answers to a question you ask, and guests can always reach you if messaging is set up for your event.

How many questions can I add? Up to ten. That's plenty to cover arrival, dress code, parking, gifts, and a couple of event-specific details without turning the RSVP into a long read.

Will InviteBird make up an answer it doesn't know? No. The AI draft only uses details you've entered for the event. If a fact is missing, it leaves the answer blank for you to complete rather than inventing one.

My FAQ isn't showing to guests. The RSVP step appears once the FAQ is turned on and has at least one question — an empty FAQ is hidden so no one lands on a blank step. On Event Day it shows only if you've added the "Good to know" tile, and only questions with an answer appear there. Check for the green check on each question, and use Preview what guests see to confirm.

Can I put a link in an answer? Yes. Paste a full web address that starts with https:// — a map link for parking, say — and guests can tap it. Everything else stays plain text, so line breaks are kept but bold, colours and other formatting are not.

Can two of us edit the FAQ? Yes — co-hosts can write and edit questions too. Edit one at a time, though: each save keeps the whole list as it is on that screen, so two people saving at once can overwrite each other.

Can I change the FAQ after the event? No. Once your event has finished or been canceled, the FAQ freezes — the questions, the answers and the on/off switch stay exactly as they are.

Does an FAQ cost extra? No — it's included on every plan. You're billed by guest count when you send, per Plans and pricing.
