Here's how to go from a blank slate to a saved invitation draft you can send whenever you're ready.
Before you begin
You'll need a free InviteBird account. You can design an entire invitation without paying anything — payment comes only at the final send step.
Steps
- Browse the design studio. Open the template studio and look through the designs until one fits your event.
- Open a design. Select any template to see it full-size along with its details.
- Click Personalize. This creates your own private copy and opens it in the editor. If you're not signed in yet, you'll be asked to sign in first and then land right back here.
- Move through the steps. The editor guides you through Design, Details, Guests, Plan, and Review. Fill them in order, or jump between them using the step names at the top.
- Let it save on its own. Every change saves to your draft as you go, so you can close the tab and return later to finish.
What your guests will see
Nothing yet. Your invitation link stays locked and private until you pay and send, so you can take all the time you need to get it right.
Limits and important details
- Designing is free — you're only asked to pay at the final send step.
- If you already started a draft from the same design, you'll be asked whether to Continue Draft or Start Fresh.
- A draft can hold a guest list of up to 750 people while you plan.
