Yes — you can edit an invitation after it's live, and your changes appear at the same link your guests already have. Nothing is re-sent automatically, so when you change something guests need to know about, it's on you to tell them.
Two ways to edit a live event
From your event's host desk you'll see two editing buttons:
- Edit Invitation — the quick way. Tap the page to reword copy, change event facts, and update the card, all in one place. Best for small fixes like a corrected time or a reworded note.
- Edit Studio — the full editor, the same one you used to build the invitation. Best for design changes and reworking the details.
What editing a live invitation looks like in the Edit Studio
When you open an already-sent invitation in the Edit Studio, it switches to a polishing mode:
- The step rail is shorter — Design → Details → Plan → Review. Your guest list and co-hosts are managed from the host desk now, not the editor, so those steps drop away here.
- Your changes save automatically and go live at the guest link right away.
- On the Details step you'll confirm your details with a Verify button before you can finish — a quick check that everything still reads right.
- The last step is Complete, not Send. Completing an edit doesn't re-send the invitation or ping your guests.
When you tap Complete, you'll see a short confirmation: "Your invitation has been updated." It reminds you that if you changed the date, time, or venue, you should head to the Messages tab to let your guests know, and offers a one-tap Message my guests button.
Telling your guests about a change
Because edits go live silently, guests won't be alerted on their own. For anything that affects their plans — a new date, a moved venue, a different start time — send a message from your event's Messages tab. Small wording tweaks or a design refresh usually don't need an announcement.
Your existing RSVPs are safe throughout: editing the card or details never resets who's replied. See How RSVPs work and Reminders and re-sending.
Common questions
Can I still edit after guests start replying? Yes. Editing the card or details doesn't affect existing responses — guests keep their RSVPs.
Will editing re-send the invitation or notify guests? No. Changes appear at the same link, but no message goes out automatically. Use the Messages tab to tell guests about anything important.
Where do I add or remove guests now? For a live event, manage your guest list and co-hosts from the host desk's Guests tab rather than the editor.
Which should I use — Edit Invitation or Edit Studio? Use Edit Invitation for quick wording and fact fixes; use Edit Studio when you want to change the design or rework the details.
I changed the date — what's the safest next step? Save the change, then tap Message my guests (or open the Messages tab) and send a short note so everyone updates their plans.
