Every paid InviteBird event comes with a shared photo album that guests can add to for free. This article explains how much the album holds, how long it stays online, and the two optional purchases that give it more room or more time.
What's included
Every paid event includes:
- A 100-photo album — room for 100 approved photos, shared with your guests.
- A full year of hosting — the album stays online for one year from the day you send, at no extra cost.
- Free guest uploads — guests add their photos without needing an account.
That's enough for most events, and nothing renews or charges on its own.
The 500-photo pack
If your album is filling up, the 500-photo pack raises the limit from 100 to 500 photos for $25, one time. You buy it from the event's gallery, and it applies right away.
As your album fills, InviteBird gives you a heads-up: around 80% full you'll see "Your album is filling fast," and at 100% "Your album is full," each with a one-tap button to add room. Buying the pack also nudges your yearly hosting renewal up to $25 a year (more on that below), because a bigger album costs a little more to keep online.
How long the album stays online
The included hosting lasts one year from send. InviteBird never charges to renew automatically — as the year runs out, you decide whether to keep the album live or download everything and let it close.
Here's the timeline once hosting is running:
- Comfortably ahead — a quiet line shows the date the album is hosted until, with a gentle Renew hosting link.
- Last 30 days — a friendly reminder appears: "Album hosting ends soon," with the exact date and a renew button. Your card is never charged automatically.
- After the date passes — the album goes offline for guests ("Your album is offline"), but your photos are safe. You can renew any time to bring it back, or download everything.
- 90-day grace window — your photos stay downloadable for 90 days after hosting ends. Renewing during this window restores the album instantly.
- After the grace window — if it's never renewed, the photos are removed and the album closes for good.
There's always a Download all photos option, so you can save everything as a zip before hosting ends — or any time you like.
Renewing hosting
Renewing keeps the album live for another year (365 days). It costs $9.99 a year, or $25 a year once the 500-photo pack is on the event. Renewal is always something you choose — it never happens on its own, and your card is never charged automatically for it.
If you want to lock in one more year plus the bigger album and a printable guest book all at once, the Keepsake bundle folds them together.
Business events
On a business plan, albums work a little differently: each event's album holds up to 500 photos and stays live for as long as your subscription is active, with no per-event renewal to think about.
Common questions
How many photos does the album hold? 100 by default, or 500 with the one-time $25 photo pack.
How long is the album online? One year from send, included. After that you can renew for another year, or download and let it close.
Does the album renew automatically? No. Renewal is always a choice you make — your card is never charged automatically to keep the album online.
My album says it's offline — are my photos gone? No. Once hosting ends the album goes offline for guests, but your photos are downloadable for a 90-day grace window, and renewing brings the whole album back instantly. Only after that window, if it's never renewed, are the photos removed.
What does the 500-photo pack cost, and does it change anything else? $25, one time. It raises the album to 500 photos and nudges the yearly renewal price to $25 a year (from $9.99) because the larger album costs a bit more to host.
Can I download everything before it expires? Yes — use Download all photos on the gallery to save the whole album as a zip, any time.
