Running another event and want to reuse what you already have? There isn't a single "duplicate this event" button, but there are a few simple paths depending on what you want to reuse — the design, a guest list, or just one part of the card.
Reuse a design for another event
To make a second invitation with the same look, open that design again and personalize a fresh copy:
- Go to the design (from the template gallery, your favorites, or the design's page).
- Tap Personalize. InviteBird creates a brand-new draft from that design, separate from your first event.
- Fill in the new event's details and guest list, then send when you're ready.
Each invitation is its own event with its own guests and RSVPs, so nothing from the first one carries over unless you add it. See Choose a design and Create your first event.
Continue a draft, or start fresh
If you tap Personalize on a design you've already started a draft from, we ask whether to:
- Continue Draft — pick up the unfinished draft you already have, or
- Start Fresh — begin a new copy from the original design.
Start Fresh is the quick way to spin up a clean second version of the same design.
Reuse a past event's guest list
You usually don't need to retype your guests. When you're building a new event's guest list, you can bring in the guest list from a previous event of yours instead of adding everyone by hand. See Importing guests for every way to fill a list, including reusing a prior event's.
Duplicate one element on your card
Working in a classic design and want a second copy of a text box or shape you've styled just right? Select it on the canvas and:
- Press Ctrl/Cmd + D, or
- Use the Duplicate control on the selection toolbar.
A copy appears that you can move and edit on its own — handy for repeating a styled label or matching a pair of elements.
Common questions
Is there a one-tap "duplicate event" button? Not today. To reuse a design, open it and Personalize a fresh copy (or choose Start Fresh if you already have a draft from it). Each copy is a separate event.
Will a new copy include my old guests and RSVPs? No. A fresh invitation starts with an empty guest list. You can bring in a previous event's guests when you build the list — see Importing guests.
Can I copy just the wording or one design element? Within a classic design, select an element on the canvas and press Ctrl/Cmd + D (or use the Duplicate control) to copy it. To reuse wording across events, copy your note text before starting the new one.
I sent an invitation — can I make another like it? Yes. Reopen the same design and Personalize again; a new draft is created without affecting the event you already sent.
